Algebra 1

2024-25: (Reluctantly!) Cancelled due to low enrollment.

Open to all homeschooled students to attend in person or remotely via Zoom.

  • 36 week course held biweekly. See Syllabus for topical details.

  • Subject to class meeting minimum of 6 students, maximum 16.

  • Pre-requisite: Proficiency with Pre-Algebra concepts. Readiness Assessment and Review Resources are posted here. Students who are close to this level may be able to fill gaps as they go, if they are willing to put in the extra work to so. Ask the instructor if in doubt.

  • Fee including materials: $550 per semester, or 8 payments of $140 per month. Discounts available to homeschool families paying privately - See payment and discount terms.

  • Materials included in fee: No curriculum purchase. Students are provided a consumable Student Binder and Note Taking Guide based on the Prentice Hall Algebra 1 course that they complete throughout the year as their textbook. A TI-83/84 Plus series graphing calculator is recommended after the first 10 weeks, or, if funds do not allow, www.desmos.com may be used at home. At a minimum, students will need a scientific calculator.
